Director Barbara Delgleize was elected to the Huntington Beach City Council in November of 2014 and served as Mayor from 2016 to 2017. Orange County's City Selection Committee reappointed Delgleize as a city council representative to the OCTA Board of Directors in January 2020.

Director Delgleize, a residential real estate broker, has lived in Huntington Beach since 1974 where she raised her daughter. She is active in philanthropic organizations and has been a long serving member of the Huntington Beach Chamber of Commerce, having served as Chairman of the Board in 2009. In addition, she presently serves on the Board for the Association of California Cities – Orange County and has served on the Huntington Beach Infrastructure Committee and was a member of the 2009 Huntington Beach Centennial Committee celebrating 100 years of Huntington Beach history.

Prior to her election to the City Council, Director Delgleize has been a member and chair of the Huntington Beach Planning Commission from 2008-2012 and served on the Visit Huntington Beach Board of Directors. She is active in many community organizations including the Huntington Beach Assistance League Advisory Board, a member of Soroptimist International of Huntington Beach and the City’s Council on Aging. She also appreciates the Huntington Beach pet friendly environment where she enjoys spending time with her two Tibetian terriers Jack and Gracie.

As a Council Member, Director Delgleize is serving as the liaison to the Allied Arts Board, Children's Needs Task Force, Citizen Participation Advisory Board and the Environmental Board. She is a member of the following Huntington Beach City Council committees on Beautification, Landscape & Tree, Strategic Planning as well as the Sunset Beach Community Association.
