Historic downtowns are still pretty cool. This tour starts at the historic Santa Fe Depot the takes you past historic buildings, great lunch spots and a musical treat at the Leo Fender Gallery.


Itinerary

  1. Take a moment to explore the historic Fullerton Santa Fe Depot and Union Pacific Depot, which is now the Old Spaghetti Factory restuarant.

  2. Head north on Harbor Blvd. and view the Landmark Plaza Building and the Chapman Building.

  3. Stop for lunch at Tranquil Tea Lounge, a modern urban tea lounge and restaurant located at Wilshire and Harbor Blvd.

  4. Continue north to the Fox Theater Complex at Chapman Ave. If you're craving coffee or sweets, visit Dripp in the same complex.

  5. Return down Pomona Ave. and spend time at the Fullerton Museum Center. Be sure to visit the Leo Fender Gallery.

  6. Pick up a fun drink or sweet treat for the ride home at Rutabegorz, just south of the museum on Pomona Ave. and a short walk to the Metrolink station.

Arriving By Train

A masterwork of the Spanish Colonial Revival style, the 1930 depot includes graceful arches, quatrefoil windows, decorative metalwork and a Monterey-style balcony. Connects to train and bus.
