Explore the historic streets, rustic brick facades, and charm of Old Pasadena. A short ride on Metro Gold Line and you’ll be surrounded by open-air eateries, boutiques, galleries, and antique shops.


Itinerary

  1. Take a moment to visit L.A. Union Station on your way to the Metro Gold Line! The station opened in 1939, and is the largest railroad passenger terminal in the Western United States.

  2. Take Metro Gold Line 9 stops north toward Pasadena and exit at the Memorial Park Station. You'll be just two blocks north of Colorado Blvd. and the Rose Parade route!

  3. Stroll west on Colorado Boulevard and explore all the fun shops and restaurants. When you hit Fair Oaks Avenue, you'll be in the heart of Old Town Pasadena.

  4. Visit the Norton Simon Museum. Enjoy an astounding collection of mostly Western European art in a beautiful setting. From Fair Oaks Ave. it’s a short 12-minute walk (.5 miles) west on Colorado Blvd.

  5. Stop for tea at the Tea Rose Garden. It's a cozy, tranquil spot with a patio garden, florist, and fine gifts. It's one block north of Colorado Blvd on Raymond Ave. at Union St.

  6. Hop back on the Metro Gold Line at the Memoria Park Station. When you return to Union Station be sure to leave time to pick up something refreshing to drink for the ride home at Barista Society.
