  • For those interested in a small dose of San Clemente history, taking Metrolink to explore some of the historic sites is well worth the ride and the views. Although Metrolink stops at the North Beach Station, we recommend exiting at the San Clemente Pier so you can visit sites such as Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens.

    The Architecture

The Spanish Colonial Revival architecture found throughout town comes from San Clemente's beginnings in 1927 when city founder Ole Hanson built his home, Casa Romantica, and patterned the development of the city after his estate.
