    This project was completed in 2016.

    The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) added a new four-mile westbound lane to SR-91 from approximately I-5 to SR-57 – delivering a better drive through a key stretch between Anaheim and Fullerton. The new westbound lane increased carrying capacity, improved driving operations and relieved traffic congestion along this vital commuter and commerical corridor.

    Project Benefits

    • One new 4-mile lane in the westbound direction between I-5 and SR-57
    • Widened crossings at State College Boulevard, Acacia Avenue, Raymond Avenue, Euclid Street, Brookhurst Street
    • Reconstructed 10 ramps
    • Standardized 12-foot lanes and 8-10 foot shoulders
    • New striping, overhead signage and safety barriers
    • New improvements to drainage facilities
