To meet current and future rail transit demand, the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) will expand and improve the Anaheim Canyon Metrolink Station. OCTA will construct a second main track, a new station platform, and extend the existing platform to improve reliability for passengers overall. Improvements to this multi-modal station that connects passengers with OCTA and local bus service will enhance on-time performance and accommodate current and future growth.
This project is part of the OC Go program. OC Go (also known as Measure M), is a 30-year half-cent sales tax for transportation improvements in Orange County through 2041. After experiencing the success and progress of M1, nearly 70% of Orange County voters renewed the half-cent sales tax for transportation improvements to launch OC Go in 2011. In addition to OC Go funding, this project received funding from federal and local sources.
